New Southie Hotel Will Feature a Rooftop Bar
More development will bring a new hotel to South Boston, and a rooftop bar will come along with it. A Cambria Hotel run by Meyer Jabara Hotels (the same company that runs Copley Square’s Courtyard by Marriott) will arrive early in 2019, with construction starting this coming spring.
Situated near the Boston Convention & Exposition Center, the hotel at 6 West Broadway will be part of a new condo complex with 159 rooms, a gym, and a rooftop bar. The bar will feature designs from RODE Architects, including stone flooring, projection art, and floor-to-ceiling windows between the indoor and outdoor space. Specifics about the rooftop bar’s food and drink menus are not yet available beyond a stated aim to tap into local resources, including chefs and ingredients. There will also be a ground level restaurant and lounge.
