"Successful architecture is at the intersection of art and science, creating inspiring spaces, enhancing the human experience, and fostering harmony between the past and future."
Amanda is an Associate at RODE and leads the Sustainability Committee, working to ensure that the firm’s projects and internal operations meet established goals. She is an experienced project manager who brings a passion for sustainability and mentoring to the complex projects she leads. Amanda has brought her expertise and interest in adaptive reuse and preservation to numerous projects both at RODE and in her previous experience. She is a member of the Boston Preservation Alliance and a Board Member of the Association of Preservation Technology Northeast Chapter. She believes that the successful reuse of existing buildings is key to ensuring a sustainable, resilient, and beautiful future for the next generation. Originally from Iowa, Amanda obtained her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University. She landed in Boston after a three-and-a-half-year pit stop in New York City, where she discovered her love of existing buildings. In her free time, you can find her tinkering in her garden or in her workshop honing her woodworking skills: restoring original details of her home or building furniture.
