14 WEST is sited at the corner of West Broadway and Dorchester Avenue, one of the primary gateways into the vibrant urban neighborhood of South Boston. The form of the building reasserts its prominent location: tall precast piers exclaim the building’s height; brick masonry lends the facade a tectonic and contextual strength; and large expanses of glass reflect the ever-changing urban surrounds while offering distant views of the landscape to its inhabitants.

RODE assumed the design architect role from another team mid-BCDC review, completely reworking the design and securing project approvals with the clarity and strength of the project design.
